Since 1875, Audemars Piguet has collaborated with prestigious jewellery brands, including Tiffany, Cartier, Oscar Heyman and Bvlgari to case movements in one-of-a-kind Haute Joaillerie creations adorned with diamonds and coloured gemstones.
Far from being confined to one-off jewellery creations, gemsetting can be found in many of Audemars Piguet’s collections. Many timepieces feature bezels set with diamonds and other precious stones, while others are fully paved to create various iridescent effects and contrasts.

These techniques include snow setting, closed setting, claw setting and grain setting, to name but a few, the oldest of which is the closed setting, which involves enclosing the stone in a gold thread.
At Audemars Piguet, watchmakers, designers, jewellers and gem-setters work side by side to create timepieces of unparalleled artistic expression.
